Citrix supports all their clients with redirected printing, even MS-DOS and Windows CE (with some limitations of the client OS, of course). Printer redirection, or the ability to print to your (logically or physically) locally attached printers on the client device while in the session, is only supported on Windows XP desktops with the RDC client. Citrix supports this functionality on all versions of Windows, Mac OS, and UNIX/Linux. Drive redirection, or the ability to access your local client drives inside the session, is only supported on the RDC client while running on Windows XP desktops. x client has come a long way since its inception in 1998, several critical areas leave something to be desired when running a remote session via Terminal Services alone.
